  • Leeds, England, LS2 9JT United Kingdom (map)

Guest talk by Dr Dev Gakhar

Dr Dev Gakhar is an NHS doctor and the founder of Doctor Devify, a platform that helps people make sense of the NHS and sparks national healthcare conversations through stories, policy, and lived experience.

Their work has reached millions, from breaking down NHS hot topics and tackling misinformation to interviewing MPs and bringing the realities of medicine into the public eye. Their work has been recognised by 10 Downing Street for its impact on healthcare conversations. They were also invited to be a founding member of TikTok's inaugural Clinical Creator Network to help combat medical misinformation. Alongside this, they serve on the Board of Directors at TheMedNex, an international initiative connecting aspiring clinicians with world-class mentors to carry out impactful research.

This provides an opportunity for medical students and doctors to ask questions from someone who has found their made an impact with their social media presence, whilst managing their role as a doctor. Snacks will also be provided.
